Learning Journals

TBD per pupil (includes 3 booklets, one per term)

A practical tool to support and record learning

The learning journal supports classroom activities and gives pupils a clear record of their language learning over time. It helps them revisit what has been done in class, track their progress, and reflect on their own development.

Its content is aligned with the classroom programme while leaving room for pupil input and personalisation, allowing them to make it their own throughout the year. For teachers, it provides a practical way to make learning visible and to give feedback more easily.

App & Access Options

The kOUIvna app supports short, regular practice in class or at home, fully aligned with the kOUIvna programme and running entirely offline. There are two options to access the app.

1. Preconfigured Devices

Devices come ready to use with the kOUIvna app already installed. No setup or login required. Fully offline from day one.

The devices can also be used to access selected online tools such as Kahoot for quizzes or revision activities. Wi-Fi can be enabled when required.

Ideal for schools and families who prefer a simple, plug-and-play solution with no setup required.

Devices can be purchased by schools for classroom use or by parents for home use, providing a consistent and distraction-free learning environment.

2. App installation

Schools can install the app directly on compatible Android devices instead of using preconfigured devices. Families can request access for home use through the school when the app is not being used in class. When the app is used during lessons, additional home access is not required.

Android installation required (step-by-step guide provided).

kOUIvna’s programme supports schools in implementing the Primary Language Curriculum through a flexible, progressive approach to MFL.
